We create engaging "Reading Experiences" for early learners from Pre-K through Elementary, empowering them to become lifelong readers. Incorporating the arts allows our programs to spark imagination and enhance reading comprehension skills.

Connection To Creativity (C2C) believes that every child deserves the tools and support to read and comprehend literature at or above grade level. Our programs help early learners from Pre-K through Elementary become lifelong readers by integrating the arts and creative activities. Acknowledging that each child has a unique learning style, we infuse artistic elements to break down barriers, ignite imagination, and enhance reading comprehension skills.
Approximately 40% of students across the nation cannot read at a basic level.
Our impact spans across 200 schools, both locally and internationally, We are building home libraries for families with our In - House Field Trips.

Stephaney, a former librarian, faced challenges in helping her eldest son, Aliko, but didn’t know how to tackle them. When the Atlantis Resort invited her to create a jingle for their Atlantis Against Illiteracy program, she decided to involve Aliko in the project. He ended up writing the jingle, which she still uses today in C2C. This experience taught her that integrating literacy with music can demonstrate to struggling readers that reading is fun. Through this creative approach, Stephaney discovered new ways to support Aliko’s reading journey. She realized that presenting reading opportunities interactively helped him connect with the material, leading to a richer and more enjoyable reading experience.
Since 2015, Connection To Creativity has been helping young children discover the joy and value of reading through the arts! Our fun and engaging approach incorporates artistic elements into books, making reading an exciting adventure. With our unique support materials, we provide parents, schools, and the community with a variety of tools to help young scholars thrive in their reading journeys!

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Connection To Creativity was founded by Stephaney McGregor, mother of Aliko and Dakarai. As a former librarian, Stephaney has always felt a deep connection to books, literacy, and the joy of sharing reading with children.
When she discovered Aliko’s struggles with reading, she dedicated herself to supporting and encouraging him. During this journey, she noticed many other children facing similar challenges, which tugged at her heart. Realizing that every child’s learning path is unique, she found that art could serve as a powerful equalizer. Stephaney began creatively linking books with various art forms—dramatic readings, music, dance, and painting—to support struggling readers from diverse backgrounds.
Since 2015, Stephaney has hosted countless events that blend literacy and creativity, including:
